  Book Review on  How I Taught my Grandmother to Read and Other Stories  This book is all about Sudha Murthy-a great author's experiences, what she has learnt from them and some popular folk tales. It talks about her real-life incidents which are very inspiring. The book goes through her journey where she gets advises in her childhood to adulthood, from her career (employments) to a compassionate teacher to a critical thinker and from a wife to a mother. It is a semi-autobiographical book which has 25 beautiful and engaging stories packed which are motivating and inspiring. This book is recommended to children as well as adults. It has all the experiences, life values and learnings which a person should have at any age. It is a wonderful book which engages and makes the reader desire to read more and more.  All these stories have touched my heart. Each and every story has at least one life value or learning in them.   An Expert in Anything was Once a Beginner Do you think that every expert was born skilled or were they a beginner at first and had to go the extra mile to achieve their ambition? Learning is life. To achieve something, we have to burn the candle at both the ends. Giving up is the path towards deterioration. If every beginner gave up when things got tough, there would be no expert. Every time we hit a roadblock, we cannot simply throw up our hands and say, “I Quit,” you would never get past that. When you know you have failed, you would understand where you made a mistake. English-known as ‘the language of the world’ is the second most language used worldwide. Earlier, around 1,500 years ago, English was spoken by just three (3) Germanic tribes, who spread their knowledge across the continent.   English language day is celebrated on 23 rd April especially by the United Nations (UN). But why this date? This particular date was chosen for its cultural significance to the English, marking both St George’s Day and Willi
