How to think outside the box?

How to think outside the box?

Do you think being a common face among the crowd even though you are born to stand out among all the faces in the world is a better idea than standing out worldwide, making your own identity, getting more creative and unique from others also benefiting other people?

As you all know that 'thinking out of the box' means to be unique, thinking from a different point of perspective and benefiting yourself as well as others. And I'm sure no one can agree more to this. A famous quote by Albert Einstein goes as follows, “Creativity is seeing what everyone else has seen, and thinking what no one else has thought.” As, I specified in my previous blog about the benefits of thinking out of the box, in this blog I will share some ideas with you for how to think outside the box.

Thinking differently isn't that hard as you feel it to be. You just have to change the direction of your mind and thoughts. Though, it takes time and hard-work. You need to do something which is unlike others. Some of the ways are:

1) Study about different things and topics: When you go to the library, always try to pick up books which are uncommon, read a different book every time. You can also attempt to read a book contrasting from the subject you learn. Adding, you can even read a book of an unfamiliar genre.

2) Do something creative/create something each day: Endeavour doing something creative each day such as making drawings, sketches, paintings, exploring musical instruments and trying to play them, dancing, some art and craft etc. This improves your creativity. Moreover, you can invent new things and try your best at creating them. For example, start from the basic and make easy things, then you start getting creative and unique ideas every day and it gets a lot easier for you to make a machine when you get to the expert level.

3) Learn about another religion or language: You can try to learn about various religions, this helps you in getting more familiar with people from every caste and creed. Furthermore, try learning numerous languages so that you can speak every type of language and can communicate more easily with people speaking a specific language.

4) Always be willing to ask 'why'?: Asking why gives you ideas and pushes you to do something as it puts you in a thought-why. Think about Thomas Edison working on a light bulb, Louis Pasteur wondering about why was the milk sour, or the Wright Brothers wanting to realise their dreams of flying an airplane. These people were never afraid to challenge the belief that their ideas were peculiar for being considered or worked on.

There are many more ways to get creative but as a beginner if you start with some of these as mentioned you will surely become more creative and will get ideas all by yourself.
