Mother...The Life of the World.

Happy Mother's Day!

Who is a mother? What is a mother? Why is a mother there? Can't we live without a mother? I am sure you all must be thinking of these questions. But I should tell you that there is just one (1) answer so many of these questions. And that is, 'Mother is Life'. This one statement answers all questions. As without life, you can't live, so it is that without a mother, you can't live. Mother is life and a mother is there because she is life, the whole world. In the whole wide world, there is no other living organism who can take the place of a mother.

It's said that when God made this world, he could not take care of every child, and so he made a mother. Mother - this word only has so much purity and love itself that you will just drown thinking that how much a mother would have. A mother is your first friend, your best friend, your forever friend. A mother is not known by just giving birth to her child but by fulfilling all her responsibilities and giving unconditional love to her child. In the same way, for lifetime it will always be believed that Maiya Yashoda is Lord Krishna's mother. Though she is not his biological mother still she has given him a lot of care and love. Simultaneously, Lord Krishna too gave her importance as he gave to his biological mother-Devki. You can imagine no other heroism greater than motherhood.

Mother’s day wouldn’t be necessary if each of us thanked our mothers each day for the countless things they do for us each day (most of which we don’t even notice). However, since none of us does that, the importance of Mother’s Day cannot be understated. There are innumerable things that our mothers sacrifice and do for us. From teaching us life values to making us a great person. Teaching us how to walk, talk, eat, drink, how to take care of ourselves to making us independent and successful in our career. She sacrifices her sleep and rest in making us sleep peacefully.

She is the only one who sacrifices her blood for us. There is nothing more than a mother. Her sacrifice, love and blood lost can never be returned to her by us. We all will always be indebted to our mothers. And this is the reason why our mothers are meant to be God. Our mothers are everything to us and we are everything to them. They are truly our lifelines.

Truly, our mothers worked hard and made sacrifices, so our lives would be better. There are not a lot of people willing to do that, so let her know you appreciate it. Mothers are forgiving—so forgive her in return. Perhaps nothing will be as valuable - a gift to both of you as forgiveness. Open your heart and drop your resentments. Now that’s love. She is the one who will support your dreams when no one else will.

The connect of children with mothers seems to be eternal as this bond starts way before birth. If we go to jot down the list of reasons that make moms so important, then it might seem endless, but I have listed a few of them. They are our first teachers, values imbibers, counsellors, readers of non-verbal cues, emotional backbones, foundations and pillars, hope-givers and her love is unconditional.

So, let our mothers know that we love them and cannot repay them whatever she has done and continues to do for us in our lifetime. Make sure you reach out to your mother today and express your gratitude. All we can do is reciprocate the same love and affection just the way she does. Though a mother will never ask anything in return for her love, care and protection, we can always make her feel special with small and sweet gestures. So if you are thinking of making her feel special, express your love in different ways throughout your life and respect her and she is sure to appreciate your sweet gestures.

Today on the occasion of Mother's Day, I would like to wish, salute and bow down to all mothers who have loved, cared and sacrificed for her kids so much.

A Very Happy Mother's Day!
