International Family Day!

 International Family Day!

Do you think life is possible without families, or is it very hard to live?

A house doesn't make a home what makes it a home is the family that lives in it. A family is the best team you could ever have.

The International Family Day is observed on 15 May every year. The day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1993 with resolution so as to dedicate the whole day to families and appreciate their importance. It reflects the importance of families and helps solve problems between them. The International day provides an opportunity to promote awareness of the importance and value of families. It is the day which brings together broken families and creates a strong bond between them.

Since 1996, a theme is assigned to the day in order to highlight that particular issue, ranging from - “Families for all ages” and “Families: Educators and Providers of Human Rights”, to “Families and inclusive societies” and “Men in charge? Gender equality and children’s rights in contemporary families”.

The theme of this year's International Day of Families is "Families and New Technologies." According to the background document of this year's theme, ''The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the importance of digital technologies for work, education and communication.

Families are very crucial in anyone's life. Family gives you the roots to stand tall and strong. Family is not defined by our genes, it is built and maintained through love. Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones that would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what. In time of test, family is best. Families are like fudge – mostly sweet with a few nuts. People who have a family are the luckiest of all. So take this opportunity and appreciate your family for whatever they have done for you.

Stars are brighter and days are happier when you have your family members with you. Spend each and every moment with your loved ones and make it a happier life. Wishing you and your family a very Happy International Family Day.

"Family just isn't an important thing, it's everything."
