The 75th Independence Day : The Day that Marks Huge Sacrifices

The platinum Jubilee of India's Independence! How can one forget it? The day we all got freedom from the Britishers and the freedom we enjoy now.

But do we realise the hard-work and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters so that our country gets freedom which we enjoy daily? We should be feeling proud and esteemed for our freedom fighters who have made such huge sacrifices for us and our country.

They were the people who selflessly laid down their lives for the freedom of our country. Some of them chose the path of non-violence such as Mahatma Gandhi Ji - who played a very important role in the freedom of India, while others chose the path of violence such as Subash Chandra Bose to end the foreign rule. They are considered as a symbol of patriotism and bravery. As well as male freedom fighters, there were also female freedom fighters. Such one - female freedom fighter, is The Queen of Jhansi - Rani Lakshmi Bai. She encouraged many women crosswise the nation to strive for the freedom of India and to date motivates several women to fight for their equities. She brought her ideologies of freedom and liberty to the independent India. These Ideologies were inhabited by later India, where women struggled under the chains of inequality. When the women freedom fighters are unnoticed or less acclaimed, The Queen of Jhansi is the right choice to be praised and held in the forefront.
There are innumerable freedom fighters such as Bhagat Singh, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Vallabhbhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Mangal Pandey, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Sukhdev etc. who have self-sacrificed for the freedom of our country. We should really be thankful to them and feel proud of having such selfless people who fought for our country.

On our 75th Independence Day, it is a very proud moment that India is celebrating - 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' leaded by our honourable Prime Minister - Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of it’s people, culture and achievements. In fact, our youth have the most important role in ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. Prime Minister rightly said that the Mahotsav is not just about the last 75 years of Independence, but a moment to develop a common vision for the next 25 years”.

Instead of just wearing tri-coloured clothes and wishing each other 'A Happy Independence Day',

Let's remember the sacrifices of our martyrs and thank them wholeheartedly,
Let's pledge for peace, brotherhood and unity in diversity,
Let's pray with all our hearts for our motherland, its growth and development,
Let's pray for everyone's good,
And
Let's hold our hands and say loudly together, "We are proud to be an Indian!"
